International market acquisitions of certain medical devices and personal protection supplies

The Colombian Ministry of Health has determined that the contracts which purpose is the acquisition in the international market of certain medical devices* and protection supplies required for COVID-19’s treatment, will be ruled by private Colombian law. Accordingly, governmental procuring entities are authorized to directly contract the supply of these types of goods with a foreign contractor, in which case the governmental entity must inform the corresponding auditor entity within the following three (3) days as of the execution of the corresponding agreement.
