New reality in Bogotá
By means of Decree 193 of 2020, the Major of Bogotá D.C. established the guidelines guarantee public order and mitigate the social and economic impact caused by COVID-19.
Find below the main aspects of the Decree:
- Purpose: Activation of the economic sectors through the distribution of the commercial, labor and service activities, through the application of operation shifts.
- Economic activities shift: From zero (00:00) hours as of August 27th, 2020, the economic sectors must operate under a mechanism of alternation of days and shifts as described below:

* The activities that are developed in offices such as consultancies, professional activities, and services in general, must guarantee the implementation of “teletrabajo” or “Home Office” in a percentage not less than 50% for those activities that do not require presence or attention to the public.
Activities without restriction: We highlight the following:
The chain of production, supply, storage, transport, sale and distribution of essential goods and those considered essential.
Sale of products through electronic commerce platforms or delivery services of all types of goods.
Health services.
Execution of transportation infrastructure, as well as the supply chain of materials related to this activity.
Private security and surveillance services, prison and penitentiary services.
Cleaning and grooming service, including domestic, laundry service and motor vehicle washes.
Banking and financial services, postal operators, currency purchase, gambling operations, notarial activities, wage payment operators, fees, pensions.
Creative, artistic and entertainment activities, cinema, concerts and performing arts carried out under the modality of auto-cinema, worship, without generating crowds.
ID Restriction: In order to enter into commercial establishments for the purchase of goods, services, retail and wholesale products, banking and notary services and the provision of any other types of services except health, pharmacy and funerals, the following conditions must be met:
Uneven days: Individuals whose identity card or identity document ends in uneven digit will not be able to access these establishments.
Even days: Individuals whose identity card or identity document ends in an even digit will not be able to access these establishments.
“Teletrabajo” and Home office: Public and private entities must implement mechanisms so that their employees or contractors whose presence is not essential, carry out their activities under the modalities of “Teletrabajo” or Home Office.
